What flowers to pick for your Valentine’s Day peeps!

For obvious reasons I think Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to get floral for your favourite person. You don’t have to break the bank and it doesn’t have to be stuffy and traditional either!

Here are some ideas to get you some serious brownie points….unless she/he hates flowers of course, then your screwed ;)….

The ol’ dozen roses bouquet. This one is always a winner although try and switch it up with garden roses or roses other than that stereotypical red roses that you see EVERYWHERE! Go for baccara roses, esperance or high and magic (just ask the florist). They are BEautiful and should give you some longevity!

Ask your florist to add more than one type of accent flower or greenary to your arrangement. This will give the bouquet lots of depth and texture and make it look fuller and more voluminous.

Does she/he have a favourite colour or flower that she has mentioned in the past? Creating an arrangement or bouquet that is more personalized will bring more smiles I promise!

Switch it up and go for a mixed bouquet that contains all types of floral. Seriously, if you let the florist do their thing it will allow them to flex their creative muscles and they will be super happy to do it! Most often than not its WAAAY better then you could have imagined.

Order in advance. The best floral is used for orders that are known about ahead of time. You are scraping the barrel when you order floral the day of, not to mention paying a pretty penny for it!

If you are into it, help the florist pick out the floral! Even if it doesn’t match or look perfect it’s seriously the thought that counts…super sweet!

Ask the florist to add a nice ribbon or wrap the bouquet really well. First impressions and all that jazz!

Really nice floral to ask to include are as follows: Anenomes, ranunculus, peonies, astilbe, garden roses, privet berry, poppies, hydrangea, orchids and freesia! There are so many more to choose from but that’s a start!

Sometimes one bloom is all you need but make sure it’s a good one! Any of the above mentioned work and usually a little bit of greenery is added free of charge.

I hope this helps! You really cannot go wrong with any type of floral but this will up your game tenfold :)

That is all for now!
